The 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination results were officially released today, recording the best national achievement in five years. The National Grade Average (GPK) index improved to 4.42 points, down from 4.49 in 2024, signaling a higher overall quality of performance. Education Director-General Azman Adnan noted that more candidates qualified for certificates this year, showcasing the resilience of students in the post-pandemic academic environment.

Top government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, have urged candidates to accept their results with an open heart as a first step toward their future. Students are being encouraged to explore diverse pathways, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), to meet the country's growing industrial demands. The results reflect a significant bounce-back in student performance across both urban and rural schools nationwide.

Despite the celebration, the education ministry remains focused on addressing the remaining gaps in specific subjects to ensure long-term academic excellence. Schools across the country have begun their respective results-sharing sessions, with counseling services available for students planning their next steps. The record-breaking performance is seen as a testament to the effectiveness of the revised teaching modules implemented over the last two years.
