The 2026 Malaysia Cup has reached its final four, with Selangor FC and Kuching City FC preparing for their decisive second leg clash on April 18. In their first leg meeting earlier this week, Selangor's Chrigor Moraes scored a dramatic injury time equalizer to rescue a 1-1 draw at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium. Coach Kim Pan Gon remains confident, stating that Selangor's dominant display gives them the edge as they head to Kuching for the return leg.

Meanwhile, the Harimau Malaya B-16 squad, led by coach Shukor Adan, has arrived in East Java, Indonesia, for the ASEAN U-17 Championship. Malaysia is placed in a challenging Group A alongside hosts Indonesia, Vietnam, and Timor Leste. Their campaign kicks off this Monday, April 13, against Vietnam, as the team looks to build momentum ahead of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers later this year.

In heritage player news, speculation continues to swirl around 17 year old Harry Montague of the West Ham United academy. Recent profile updates revealed he has Malaysian roots through his mother, who is from Sabah, placing him on the radar for potential future national team call ups. However, there has been no official confirmation from the player or the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) regarding a switch in allegiance.
