The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is facing internal friction as the NATO Chief revealed today that President Trump has expressed clear "disappointment" with the alliance's current defense contributions. This has reignited concerns that the U.S. might reconsider its commitment to NATO, a move that former aides warn remains a serious possibility.

Simultaneously, the European Union has officially condemned Israel's recent decision to approve 30 new settlements in the West Bank, labeling them as "illegal" under international law. This condemnation adds a layer of diplomatic complexity as European leaders attempt to maintain a unified front with the U.S. while disagreeing on specific regional policies in the Middle East.

In Asia, Australia and Singapore have announced a new agreement to strengthen their energy cooperation. This partnership is aimed at building more resilient supply chains to weather the international instability caused by the ongoing war and shipping disruptions in the Persian Gulf.
