Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has launched the issuance of commemorative coins featuring Malaysia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Members of the public can place their orders through the official Duit BNM portal starting from 9:00 a.m. today until April 21, with a limit of two coins per design per person.
Regarding the environment, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that cloud seeding operations in Melaka will be intensified. Initial attempts yielded limited impact due to wind movement drifting clouds away from targeted areas, and follow up sorties are planned to boost water supply in the southern part of Peninsular Malaysia.
On a celebratory note, the Malaysia Premier Songkran Festival 2026 is currently underway at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo highlighted the event as a symbol of the strong cultural and bilateral bonds between Malaysia and Thailand.
