Dhanush lends his voice to 'Vaama Vaama' song from Atharvaa's Idhayam Murali

Atharvaa is gearing up for the release of his next, Idhayam Murali, which is slated for July 10. On Monday, the makers of the film announced that actor, director, lyricist and singer Dhanush has lent his voice for the fourth single from the film, 'Vaama Vaama'. Thaman S, who is making his acting comeback after Shankar's Boys (2003), is also the music composer of the film.

Dawn Pictures, the producers of the film, announced that the new song will be unveiled on Tuesday. The song marks Dhanush's first for an Atharvaa film. However, he has previously collaborated with composer Thaman on the titular song in the Telugu film Thikka, starring Sai Dharam Tej.

The film is directed and produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner. It also stars Kayadu Lohar, Preity Mukhundhan, and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles. The supporting cast comprises VJ Rakshan, Dravid Selvam Niharika NM, Sudhakar Jayaraman, Natty, Anju Kurian, Angelin B and Yashashree Rao.

So far, the makers of Idhayam Murali have unveiled three songs, namely 'Idhayaa', 'Thangame Thangame', and 'Vaan Vaan'. Thaman S, Vishal Mishra, Dheeraj, Sahithi, Prakruthi, Adviteeya, Pranati, Sruthi, Rajini, and Mohit Chauhan have lent their voices for the various songs in the film, released so far. Vivek has penned the verses for all the songs.

Atharvaa makes his second collaboration with producer-director Aakash Baskaran, who has backed the actor's Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, in which he starred alongside Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela and Ravi Mohan.

On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, costumes by Pallavi Singh, and Karthik Rajkumar. Dravid Selvam also doubles up as the film's additional dialogue writer, alongside Aakash Baskaran.
