KUALA LUMPUR — OpenAI has acknowledged that its ChatGPT generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot is experiencing issues as users globally have reported problems.


In a post on X, OpenAI mentioned, “We are currently facing an outage. We have recognized the problem and are in the process of implementing a solution. Apologies, and we will ensure to keep you informed!

Other offerings from the company are also not operational, as indicated on its status page, with one update stating, “ChatGPT, Sora, and the API are still down.” According to the company,   users have reported  encountering strange error messages when attempting to access the service.

"According to OpenAI's status page, we have gotten reports of API calls resulting in errors, along with problems accessing platform.openai.com and ChatGPT."

In its most recent update, OpenAI stated, “We are still striving for remediation.  Traffic for API and ChatGPT has partially bounced back.
