"SEPANG — The drug case involving comedian Along Cham, whose real name is Muhammad Nizamuddin Ahmad, will be rementioned on April 7, the Magistrate’s Court decided today.
The 42-year-old is facing two charges: possession of 1.49 grams of cannabis and administering the drug to himself, both alleged to have occurred on December 14 at his home in Cyberjaya and later at the Sepang Police headquarters.
Charged under Sections 6 and 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, he faces up to five years in prison or a fine of RM20,000 if convicted.
Magistrate Muhammad Bukhori Md Ruslan presided over the case, with Inspector Sutri Patang prosecuting and Along Cham represented by lawyer Syed Yusuf Syed Zaid."
