Gold Shop Heist: Cops Review CCTV, 4 Witnesses Statement Given

SEREMBAN: Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify suspects involved in an armed robbery at a gold shop in Nilai. Nilai District Police Chief, Supt Abdul Malik Hasim, said four witnesses, including shop employees, have given statements. The suspects reportedly used a fake vehicle registration number, and the getaway car traced to Banting, Selangor, was unrelated.

The robbery, which took place around 8:36 pm, involved three men, two of whom entered the shop, while one waited in the car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the losses are still being assessed. Gold shop manager Susan, 54, described the shock of the incident, where robbers armed with a gun threatened staff and took gold from the counter.
