PETALING JAYA: A 46-year-old man has been arrested for disposing of a bag of bullets in a dumpster at a Bukit Jambul apartment in Penang. The man claimed he found the bullets while cleaning a house last year. He turned himself in at the police station and admitted to discarding the bullets before contacting authorities. Police are verifying his statement. The case is being investigated under Section 8(a) of the Firearms Act 1960, which prohibits unauthorized possession of ammunition. Those convicted face up to seven years in prison, a fine of RM10,000, or both.
