MS Dhoni has poured cold water on retirement speculation, saying he won’t rush a decision after this IPL season. The 42-year-old Chennai Super Kings icon, who dazzled with a late cameo and six in the final over against Kolkata Knight Riders, said he’ll assess his fitness over the next 6–8 months. With CSK out of playoff contention, Dhoni may be just two games away from potentially ending his legendary career. Speaking after receiving a hero’s ovation at Eden Gardens, he said, “The love from fans is incredible — many don’t know if it’s my last game, so they just want to see me play.”
