KUALA LUMPUR — National footballer Faisal Halim has expressed disappointment after the acid attack case against him was classified as requiring no further action (NFA), but says he remains focused on reviving his career.
Speaking at the 2025 Faisal Halim U12 Open Championship in Mengkuang Titi, the Selangor FC winger said he is leaving the matter to the authorities, despite the emotional toll.
“As a victim, of course I’m upset, but it’s in the past now. I just want to play football again,” said Faisal, also known as Mickey.
He urged fairness and asked that if he had wronged anyone, they should confront him, not harm him, as he has a family to care for.
Faisal, who grew up in Mengkuang Titi, stressed that his journey in football has always been about chasing dreams, not luxury.
“I’m just a kampung boy who wants to be the best — not for comfort, but for success,” he added.
