IPOH — Perak police seized RM4.67 million worth of meth and ketamine from an abandoned Honda HR-V near Loji Taman Pulai Savana, Gerik, on June 6. The 123kg of drugs were discovered after a tip-off about a suspicious vehicle parked by the roadside.

Police found 80 packets of meth (82.8kg) and 39 packets of ketamine (40.4kg) in the SUV’s bonnet. The car had a warm engine but no sign of its occupants and was later confirmed to be a cloned vehicle with tampered IDs. The original registration traced back to a nurse in Selangor.

Perak Police Chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin said the drugs could have served 350,000 users and were likely meant for distribution across Perak and nearby states. This is among the largest drug busts in Perak this year. The case is being probed under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the death penalty.
