PM wants Suhakam to champion rights in tech era, warns of rising risks to children’s safety

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed hope that Suhakam will remain a credible and progressive voice for vulnerable groups and continue advancing the nation’s human rights agenda. Following a meeting with Suhakam Chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Hishamudin Yunus in Putrajaya, Anwar shared that they discussed key human rights issues affecting all levels of society, Suhakam’s progress, and current challenges. He highlighted how rapid advancements in AI and digitalisation are creating new dimensions in human rights protection, especially for children who face growing risks in the digital age.
