A 15-year-old boy involved in a fatal road crash that killed five people in Kuching has been sentenced to six years of rehabilitation at Henry Gurney School, until he turns 21. The Magistrate also fined him RM1,500 or two months' jail in default for driving underage. The teen pleaded guilty to reckless driving and driving below the legal age. His 35-year-old father, who allowed him to drive, was fined RM15,000 and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service. The January 14 crash occurred when the teen lost control of the car, hitting two cars and two motorcycles, killing four on the spot and one later in hospital.
