IPOH — A tour bus carrying 36 Indian tourists and a local driver skidded and crashed into a divider at KM 396.2 of the North-South Expressway near Muallim yesterday afternoon.

Muallim police chief Supt Mohd Hasni Mohd Nasir said the accident occurred at 3.39pm as the bus, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh, lost control and veered into a drain after hitting the central divider.

All 32 men, four women, and the 41-year-old driver escaped uninjured. The group, believed to be travelling from Hotel Regalia in KL to Hotel Weil in Ipoh, was later transferred to another bus to continue their journey.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad confirmed the crash site was cleared by 6.50pm, with traffic flow returning to normal soon after.
