Liverpool have signed German sensation Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for a club-record fee, believed to be up to £116 million, marking their biggest-ever transfer.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Premier League champions fresh off an unbeaten domestic double with Leverkusen, where he was named Bundesliga Player of the Year. Praised as “world-class” by former coach Xabi Alonso, Wirtz is seen as one of football’s brightest talents.
