Australia’s Minjee Lee claimed her third major title by winning the Women’s PGA Championship with a steady final-round 74, finishing three shots clear at 4-under-par in Frisco, Texas.
The 29-year-old added this title to her 2021 Evian Championship and 2022 U.S. Women’s Open victories. Despite early struggles with three bogeys in her first six holes, Lee remained composed, bouncing back with birdies on the 9th, 14th, and 15th holes to seal the win.
Americans Auston Kim and Thailand’s Chanettee Wannasaen tied for second at 1-under. Kim, ranked 98th, impressed with her best-ever major finish, while Chanettee’s round included an eagle at the 15th.
Lee, who led by four entering the final round, stayed mentally focused in tough, windy conditions. “It was a battle against myself,” she said. “I really played within myself today.”
Top-ranked players struggled on the challenging course. Nelly Korda finished tied 19th, while Lydia Ko settled for 12th and Atthaya Thitikul, who led the first two rounds, finished tied 4th.
