Kenan Yildiz starred with two goals and an assist as Juventus cruised past Wydad Casablanca 4-1 in the Club World Cup, moving closer to the last 16.
Yildiz’s early shot deflected off Abdelmounaim Boutouil for an own goal, but he made no mistake with a stunning long-range strike for Juve’s second. Wydad’s Thembinkosi Lorch pulled one back, but Yildiz struck again in the second half before Dusan Vlahovic converted a late penalty.
Juventus, already 5-0 winners over Al Ain, now have six points from two games and can clinch knockout qualification if Manchester City avoid losing to Al Ain.
Coach Igor Tudor praised Yildiz’s intelligence and skill, calling him a “wonderful player with a big future.” Wydad, meanwhile, are out of the tournament after two straight losses.
