WASHINGTON — After launching major airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, the US warned Tehran against retaliation, as former President Donald Trump hinted at regime change, saying Iran must "Make Iran Great Again."
Despite Trump’s remarks, top US officials, including Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, stressed that the operation targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities — not its government.
Dubbed “Operation Midnight Hammer,” the secret strike involved 75 precision-guided munitions and over 125 aircraft. Bunker-buster bombs reportedly caused severe damage to three key nuclear sites.
Iran has vowed to retaliate but has yet to act directly against US forces. Trump claimed the strikes had "obliterated" Iran’s nuclear program, while officials said the mission was successful and no further attacks are planned — unless provoked.
