SEREMBAN — A local security guard in his 30s was seriously injured after being attacked with a machete and wooden sticks during an early morning brawl outside a fast-food outlet in Bandar Baru Nilai around 2.30am.
Police were alerted by a medical officer at Serdang Hospital after the victim was admitted to the Red Zone with severe head and leg injuries, his body covered in blood. He is now reported to be in stable condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest the assault was not linked to gangsterism or revenge, but rather a drunken altercation that escalated into violence. Police are working to identify the suspects involved.
