Police hunt parang-wielding men who robbed Klang snooker shop

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down six men believed to be involved in an armed robbery at a snooker shop in Kapar, Klang, yesterday.

Klang Utara police chief Assistant Commissioner S Vijaya Rao said a report was lodged today over the incident, which involved six suspects armed with parang.

"Three of the suspects entered the premises, while the other three waited outside with three motorcycles.

"The suspects fled with a total of RM823 in cash. The incident was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV)," he said in a statement today.

Vijaya Rao said the case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery and armed robbery with the intent to cause death or grievous hurt.

Police have urged those with information on the case to contact the North Klang police headquarters at 03-3291 2222 or the nearest police station.
