Netflix pulled off a major surprise during Super Bowl LX by debuting a teaser for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a spin-off from Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The ad features Brad Pitt returning as the iconic laid-back stuntman, showcasing high-speed driving and his signature vintage look. While Tarantino wrote the script, he notably did not direct the project, as he remains committed to making an original film for his final 10th feature. 

The teaser, which ended with a "Coming Soon" tag, has already generated massive social media buzz. Joining Pitt in the cast are Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Timothy Olyphant. This surprise drop confirms Netflix's strategy of using massive sporting events to launch high-profile cinematic expansions of popular IP, even while some major studios opted for traditional trailers.
