Speaking at an event organized by MCA at Wisma MCA, he noted that the "Year of the Fire Horse" symbolizes strength and energy, which he hopes will drive more dynamic economic growth and national development for the country throughout the year.
Tourism Malaysia also welcomed the holiday with a vibrant reception at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1, featuring lion dances and souvenirs for arriving travelers. Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, reported that over 10,000 international travelers arrived on the first day of the Lunar New Year alone, signaling a strong start for the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
