Malaysian Academy Award winner Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh unveiled her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on February 18 (early today Malaysia time). She was honoured with the 2,836th star in the motion pictures category, reflecting on her "non-straight line" journey from Malaysia to Hollywood.
Yeoh, the first Malaysian and Asian woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars, was joined by fellow actors and directors, including Ke Huy Quan and Ang Lee. During the ceremony, she stated that the star represents the many people who made her journey possible and serves as a reminder that one's beginning does not define their destination.
