A horrific head-on collision involving three motorcycles on Jalan Tambak Paya in Melaka Tengah early yesterday (reporting continues today) resulted in the deaths of three teenagers. The victims, identified as Muhammar Adiff Farihin (15), Muhammad Azmi (16), and Nur Khairiah (16), were pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head and body injuries. Initial investigations suggest two motorcycles coming from Bukit Katil collided with a third bike traveling from the opposite direction at approximately 3:50 AM.

An 18-year-old survivor, Muhammad Haziq Haikal, remains in critical condition in the Red Zone of Melaka Hospital. District Police Chief ACP Christopher Patit confirmed that while the road was straight and dry, the area was dark at the time of the crash. All three motorcycles—a Yamaha Y16 and two Yamaha 15ZRs—have been detained for Puspakom inspection as police investigate the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
