Seven individuals, including three children, sustained injuries following a collision between two vehicles on Jalan Segama heading towards Sandakan today. The accident, which occurred around 2:57 PM, involved a Toyota Hilux and a Perodua Aruz. According to the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), nine personnel from the Lahad Datu station were dispatched to the scene, located about 15 kilometers away.
All victims managed to exit their vehicles before the rescue team arrived and were reported to have sustained minor injuries. Four victims were traveling in the Perodua Aruz, while three others were in the Toyota Hilux. The rescue team provided early medical treatment on-site before transporting all victims to the hospital for further examination. Authorities confirmed the operation ended once the site was cleared of any further risks.
