The Australian government has confirmed that all its defense personnel are safe and accounted for following a drone attack on the Al Minhad Air Base near Dubai. The base, which serves as Australia’s primary headquarters for military operations in the Middle East, was targeted as part of a wider retaliatory strike by Iran following the death of its top leaders.

Defense Minister Richard Marles addressed the incident in a television interview, verifying that while the facility was struck, no Australians sustained injuries. Approximately 100 personnel are currently stationed at the base, which has been a critical hub for Australian logistics and regional security efforts since 2003.

The escalation has raised significant concerns for the thousands of Australian civilians currently living and working in the United Arab Emirates. As the conflict between the U.S. and Iran intensifies, the Australian government is closely monitoring the situation and preparing potential evacuation strategies should the security environment in the Gulf continue to deteriorate.
