A major wave of new films is scheduled to hit Malaysian screens this Thursday and Friday. Key highlights include the highly anticipated English romance-drama "The Drama", starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, and the Japanese anime feature "Assassination Classroom The Movie: Our Time". Regional horror fans can look forward to the Thai supernatural-comedy "Pee Nak 5" and the Indonesian horror film "Alas Roban", both releasing on April 9th at GSC Movies. 

On April 10th, the Tamil sci-fi romantic comedy "LIK: Love Insurance Kompany" is set for a wide release through Malik Streams Corporation. Additionally, action fans can catch the English drama "In The Grey" and a series of animation specials from the DUFF film festival, including "Link Click" and "Heaven Official's Blessing". These releases follow the record-breaking success of "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie", which dominated the box office this past weekend. 

For those looking ahead to later in the month, the highly anticipated biopic "Michael" (retelling the life of Michael Jackson) and the supernatural thriller "The Mummy" are confirmed for release on April 23rd and April 16th respectively. Local cinema chains like TGV Cinemas are also preparing for the 25th Anniversary re-release of "Bridget Jones's Diary" on April 17th.
