KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 — A suspected criminal was killed during a police shootout early this morning in Kampung Baru Kundang, Rawang, after he and other wanted individuals in a vehicle refused to stop for officers.*

The exchange of gunfire occurred around 2 a.m. when a police team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) confronted the suspects traveling in a Nissan Grand Livina MPV. 

Reports indicate the suspects fired at the police, who returned fire, resulting in one suspect being shot dead and several others arrested. Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the incident and stated that more details will be provided in a press conference or media statement soon.
