LOS ANGELES, Sept 26 — Ohtani's Historic Home Run Ball Up for Auction, Bidding Starts at RM2M

The historic baseball from Shohei Ohtani’s milestone game, where he became the first player in MLB history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season, is now up for auction, announced Goldin Auctions.

Bidding kicks off tomorrow at an opening price of $500,000 (RM2 million), with a private purchase option available for $4.5 million until October 9. If bids reach $3 million by that date, the private sale option will be removed.

This unique ball, which shows signs of significant game use, was hit during a standout performance against the Marlins on September 19, where Ohtani recorded six hits and drove in 10 runs.

The fan who caught the ball declined a $300,000 offer from the Dodgers and swiftly contacted Goldin to consign it. The consigner remains anonymous, but Ken Goldin noted it was one of the easiest consignments ever.
