KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — Samsung has started rolling out Google’s Wear OS 5 update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, but not all users will get it just yet. Currently, the update is only available to those who participated in the One UI 6 Watch beta program, which recently concluded. Non-beta users will have to wait a little longer for the update, as the Wear OS 5 rollout for the Galaxy Watch 5 series is also still pending.

The update brings several new features, including a redesigned Quick Panel, updated notification cards, a new font, and improved Samsung Health features like the Energy Score. There’s also added support for touch-sensitive Always On Display (AOD) and new gestures for easier navigation. Additionally, the update includes the October security patch.

Wear OS 5, combined with One UI 6 Watch, marks a significant step for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, which has been running on Google’s smartwatch OS for over three years.
