Foreign Ministry Urges Malaysians in South Korea to Stay Informed After Martial Law Lifts"
PUTRAJAYA, Dec 4 — The Foreign Ministry has advised Malaysians in South Korea to remain vigilant and follow local authorities’ guidance after the nationwide martial law was lifted.
In a statement today, the ministry confirmed that the situation in South Korea has returned to normal. It also urged Malaysians to register their presence through E-Konsular for updates and assistance.
For consular support, Malaysians can contact the Malaysian Embassy in Seoul at +82-2-2077 8600 or email mwseoul@kln.gov.my.
Earlier, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol lifted the emergency measure after a National Assembly vote, which had been imposed to address opposition actions that allegedly paralyzed the government. Troops mobilised during the martial law have now returned to their bases.
