Yunnan's Pu'er, known for its fermented tea, is seeing a coffee boom as young Chinese embrace espresso drinks. Local grower Liao Shihao runs a cafe showcasing the region's beans, praised for their creamy, silky flavor. Coffee cultivation in Pu'er started in the 1980s, and Yunnan now dominates China's coffee production. Even President Xi Jinping has highlighted Yunnan's coffee. Farmers like Yu Dun are boosting income through coffee-related tourism and processing. Once a luxury, coffee is now widely enjoyed in China.
