Osaka — A 28-year-old man, Yuki Yazawa, is under investigation for attempted murder after deliberately ramming an SUV into a group of elementary school children in Osaka last Thursday.
The attack, which occurred around 1:35 p.m., left seven children injured, though all remained conscious. Witnesses said the SUV zigzagged as it struck the victims.
Yazawa reportedly told police he disliked people "living without hardship." He had quit his job as a radiographer days earlier and rented the SUV from a nearby shop, failing to return it before using it in the assault.
