Brickfields will host a grand Wesak Day float procession this Monday, expected to draw thousands of devotees. Due to traffic changes, this year’s route excludes Jalan Bukit Bintang. The event, attended by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, promotes peace and Buddhist values. Activities at Maha Vihara Temple include free food, a blood donation drive, and traditional offerings of flowers and candles. Malaysia’s Chief High Priest also urged families to uphold spiritual teachings amid modern changes. Wesak Day marks the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Buddha.
