The Education Ministry launched ProKhas in Kampung Serudung Laut, Kalabakan, to provide education to children in the remote village. Minister Fadhlina Sidek emphasized the commitment to leave no child behind, especially in rural areas. ProKhas will provide classrooms, teachers, and schooling support. The initiative follows the inspection of an informal classroom run by the Social Welfare Department. ProKhas aims to assess and support the learning needs of children with limited or no prior education. Kampung Serudung Laut's village chief noted the history of an informal school in the village and expressed hope for better local education through ProKhas. The village has 665 residents and is relatively isolated from Tawau.
