British police are investigating an alleged attack on a prison officer by a murderer who stabbed three girls to death last year, according to the prison service and UK media reports yesterday.
Axel Rudakubana is serving a minimum of 52 years in jail after killing the girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport, northwest England, last year.
Ten others were wounded, including eight children, in one of the country’s worst mass stabbings in years.
Axel Rudakubana, the 18-year-old who murdered three girls in Southport last year, allegedly threw boiling water on a prison officer at Belmarsh prison. The officer was hospitalized as a precaution and discharged the same day. Prison authorities are investigating the incident and stated that violence against staff will not be tolerated. This comes after a review was launched last month following a similar hot oil attack on guards by the Manchester bombing plotter.
