The Penang DOE has ordered the repatriation of 38 containers of mixed contaminated plastic waste, disguised as plastic flakes and brought into the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT). This action follows a joint inspection that found the waste, resembling rubbish, violated environmental regulations. This seizure is the largest this year for Penang DOE, bringing the total containers ordered for return to 65 out of 70 inspected.
