A 30-year-old housewife from Terengganu lost over RM150,000 after falling for a fake job scam involving bogus hotel bookings.
She was promised commissions for tasks aimed at “boosting hotel ratings” but ended up transferring RM158,498 across nine bank accounts.
The victim used her father’s business funds and filed a police report after failing to receive further payments. The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
