PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar says the party must boost its outreach to young voters through community programmes to win their support in the upcoming 16th general election (GE16). Citing a study showing 68% of youth are uninterested in politics, she stressed the need for meaningful engagement that resonates with them.
Speaking at a grassroots event in Bukit Mertajam, she highlighted how youth often vote based on peers rather than family influence, viewing rebellion as a form of expression.
