Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh, a Sarawak-born mother of three, has been missing since April 9, but her legal challenge against the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) proceeds in court today. She seeks to quash her arrest warrant, lift a travel ban preventing her from caring for her children in Singapore, recover her seized phone, and claim over RM137,000 in compensation.
Ling was arrested on January 8 in Singapore, handed to MACC, detained for three days, and placed under a travel ban. She claims MACC acted unlawfully and exceeded its powers, using the arrest and travel restrictions to pressure her amid an ongoing divorce dispute with her husband.
