On Saturday, despite an existing ceasefire, three people were killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
The Israeli military confirmed one strike targeted and "eliminated" a Hizbollah commander involved in the group's rehabilitation efforts near the border, though it didn't specify the location. The Lebanese ministry later reported two more deaths in a separate strike in the town of Debaal, which reportedly hit a house.
Israel has continued its strikes on Lebanon, warning it will persist until Hizbollah is disarmed. The November ceasefire stipulated Hizbollah's withdrawal north of the Litani river and Israel's full troop withdrawal, though Israel maintains a presence in five strategic areas.
