In a major boost for Malaysian football, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has granted a stay of execution for seven Harimau Malaya players who were previously suspended by FIFA. The players, including Facundo Garcés and Gabriel Palmero, were initially handed 12-month bans over eligibility documentation issues. With this temporary lift, the players are now cleared to return to domestic and international competitive action effective immediately while the final appeal is pending.

On the local front, the Malaysian Football League (MFL) is preparing for the kickoff of the MFL Challenge Cup today. Additionally, transfer rumors are swirling as 20-year-old Malaysian talent Annil Vigneswaran is reportedly set to leave the Thai League to return to the M-League. Meanwhile, Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) continues to dominate the Asian stage, contributing a staggering 70% of Malaysia's total AFC Club Ranking points following their recent performances in the Champions League Elite.
