A horrific early morning crash at Kilometer 34 of the Kuala Lumpur bound Karak Expressway near Kampung Sungai Chinchin resulted in the deaths of three young men. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department responded to an emergency distress call at approximately 2:07 AM on Friday. A rescue team consisting of six personnel from the Selayang fire station was immediately dispatched, arriving at the scene by 2:35 AM to handle the high impact collision.
The accident occurred when a Volkswagen passenger car crashed violently into the rear section of a stationary cement lorry. The impact left all four passengers heavily trapped inside the severely mangled wreckage of the vehicle. Firefighters utilized specialized rescue equipment to extricate the victims from the crushed frame of the car.
Medical personnel from the Ministry of Health officially pronounced three male victims, all in their 20s, dead at the scene. A 27 year old female passenger survived the crash but sustained severe head injuries and a fractured left leg. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment as police launch a full investigation.
